When will Najib make a full and clear statement on the history of his relationship with Jho Low, the other mastermind of the 1MDB financial scandal?
Four recent events have again highlighted the special relationship of the two masterminds of the !MDB financial scandal, viz:
The testimony of former AmBank managing director Cheah Tek Kuang that Jho Low rode in the convoy ferrying him to Najib Razak’s residence in 2011, and that Jho Low was present in Najib’s residence when the Ambank account opening forms were signed.
The statement by two journalists-authors of the 1MDB scandal book “Billion dollar Whale” that no one in Malaysia has actually asked China for the return of fugitive businessperson Low Taek Jho, or Jho Low, despite what was previously reported.
The news report that Jho Low is not on Interpol Red Notice list; and
Najib’s desire, though a convict serving jail sentence for corruption offences, to discharge his duties as a Member of Parliament.
If Najib wants to discharge his duties as a Member of Parliament until he is disqualified as a MP, he should make a full and clear statement on the history of his relationship with Jho Low, the other mastermind in the 1MDB financial scandal, and tell Malaysians whether it is Jho Low who made use of Najib or Najib who made use of Jho Low.
