A new chance for a national reset to return to the original nation-building principles and policies in the Constitution and Rukun Negara to make Malaysia a world-class great nation

Malaysia is 65 years old – at a critical point whether we continue to regress and lose out to more and more countries or we bestir ourselves in a national reset to become a world-class great nation.

The jailing of a former Prime Minister is heart-breaking, but it a clear sign that Malaysia can move forward to a national reset and return to the original nation-building principles and policies in the Constitution and Rukun Negara to become a world-class great nation.

Malaysians regardless of race, religion or region must not waste this new chance to come together to make Malaysia a world-class great nation based on the original nation-building principles to be found in the Constitution and Rukun Negara – constitutional monarchy, parliamentary democracy, separation of powers, rule of law, good governance, public integrity, meritocracy, respect for human rights and national unity from our multi-racial, multi-lingual, multi-religious and multi-cultural diversity where there are no first-class and second-class citizens whether based on race, religion or region.

The clear message in this National Day is that Malaysia can be saved from becoming a kleptocracy, kakistocracy, a rogue and a failed state and Malaysia must leverage on the values and virtues of the four great civilisations which meet in confluence in this land to create a world-class great nation.

There are fresh attempts to undermine the founding nation-building principles of the nation but we must not allow these new efforts to succeed.

The UMNO President, Zahid Hamidi is in the forefront of this new attempt. He should explain why he was not a witness in the Najib Razak’s SRC trial as he had said that he had met the wealthy Arab family who had donated into Najib’s personal account.

The UMNO today is not a party which the first four UMNO Presidents Onn Jaafar, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Razak Hussein and Hussein Onn can recognise or endorse.

UMNO today condones the 1MDB scandal, LCS scandal and many other scandals, and is quite proud that Malaysia in infamous worldwide as a kleptocracy – something which the first four UMNO Presidents will be extremely ashamed of.

Malaysians, regardless of race, religion or region, must save Malaysia from the UMNO of today.
