Azam Baki should resign as MACC Chief Commissioner if he is unable to explain why the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) had not acted against anyone in the RM9 billion littoral combat ships (LSC) scandal although MACC was in possession of over two years the forensic audit report on the LCS scandal which contained a myriad of possible corruption charges.
Azam Baki cannot deny that the MACC had been in possession for over two years the forensic audit report into the LCS scandal carried out by Alliance IFA (M) Sdn. Bhd. at the behest of Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd (BHIC) and which contained a myriad of possible corruption charges.
Why after more than two years in possession of the LSC scandal forensic audit report, the MACC failed to prosecute anyone for the largest naval procurement scandal in Malaysian history?
I am still waiting for an answer from Azam why the three corruption charges against former Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd managing director Tan Sri Ahmad Ramli Mohd Nor had nothing to do with the LCS scandal, as they predate the issue of the LOA (Letter of Award) for the RM9 billion LCS procurement which were issued on 16th December 2011.
Reading the forensic audit report on the LSC scandal from 2011 to 2014 on “questionable transactions”, even with over 10 redacted pages all in black, the question every reader ask is: why a MACC which is worth its salt had not charged anyone for the RM9 billion LCS scandal for over two years!
The RM9 billion LCS scandal is the new 1MDB scandal, for the forensic audit report painted a scenario that only a very big “shark” could orchestrate this mega scandal.
Did the MACC investigate who is the very big “shark” behind the RM9 billion LCS scandal?
Is this the reason why the Cabinet did not set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the RM9 billion LCS scandal, for it may flush out the very big “shark” behind it?
National interests warrant the flushing out of the very big “shark” behind the RM9 billion LCS scandal, and this is why the RCI must be established.
