The Police must free all arrested under the Sedition Act as Pakatan Harapan government has promised to revoke it under Promise 27 of the Pakatan Harapan 14th General Election Manifesto.

The arrest of former PSM Youth chief, Khalid Ismath and others under the Sedition Act 1948 is completely indefensible as the Pakatan Harapan had pledged to abolish the repressive Act.

It is most commendable that the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah has expressed her upset at the police crackdown and arrests.

All police and civil service personnel should familiarise themselves with the Pakatan Harapan 14th General Election manifesto to know the spirit, philosophy and direction of the Pakatan Harapan government even though laws and policies have not yet been changed so that they would not act in open opposition of the Pakatan Harapan pledge for a New Malaysia.
