I apologise to Annuar for saying he is not a “bright chap” or questioning his IQ as he has quite an impressive C.V. and his alumni included Gandhi, Tagore, Bell, John Stuart Mill and Khairy Jamaluddin

I want to apologise to the UMNO Secretary-General Annuar Musa for saying he is not a “bright chap” and questioning his IQ.

I have just seen the Annuar Musa’s C.V. and I am pleasantly surprised and remorseful of my remarks.

How could a person who is not bright or with a low IQ get a master’s degree in construction management from the prestigious University of College London (UCL), which had produced great men like Mahatma Gandhi, Alexander Bell, John Stuart Mill, Robert Browning, John Fleming, Walter Bagehot, Rabindranath Tagore and even Khairy Jamaluddin?

I withdraw my statement of Annuar not being a “bright chap” and having a low IQ. Annuar’s IQ must be quite intact, but something has happened to his moral moorings that he could regard a den of thieves as a chamber of saints and apotheosize a character like Najib Razak who is known worldwide as a global kleptocrat who caused Malaysia to suffer global infamy, ignominy and iniquity with the heinous 1MDB scandal and other corruption rampant as those in Tabung Haji, Felda, Felcra in his administration.

Annuar had prided himself as a “Mahathir man” in the past, making Mahathir’s strictures in August last year about “so much rot in the government” during Najib’s time and that “When Najib became a thief, everyone under him became a thief” all the more painful and pertinent.

Annuar’s glorification of Najib after he was appointed as Advisor of Barisan Nasional is really astounding and unbelievable. Soon, only those who face criminal charges whether corruption, abuse of power or money-laundering, would be the ones who are pre-qualified for leadership positions in the Barisan Nasional!

Tengku Razaleigh has expressed confidence that Najib would not be a liability even with the court charges he is facing.

In July last year, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah was appointed Chairman of the UMNO Council of Advisers.

Now that Najib has been appointed Chairman of Barisan Nasional Advisory Board, who will be advising who?

Will it be Razaleigh advising Najib, or Najib advising Razaleigh?
