Is Rahman Dahlan prepared to show direction for UMNO by condemning Najib for the 1MDB catastrophe which brought Malaysia the infamy, ignominy and iniquity of a global kleptocracy
Former Najib stalwart who was Minister and Barisan Nasional Strategic Communications Director Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan was spot-on when he said that the lack of direction in Umno following the party's colossal defeat in the May 9 polls is one of the reasons for the exodus of its Sabah lawmakers.
Is Rahman prepared to show direction for UMNO by condemning Datuk Seri Najib Razak for the 1MDB catastrophe which brought Malaysia the infamy, ignominy and iniquity as a global kleptocracy?
UMNO was rudderless because it had lost the moral compass, and no one even after the colossal defeat suffered by UMNO in the 14th General Election dared to speak up to identify Najib and his 1MDB kleptocracy as the leading causes of UMNO’s undoing.
On the contrary, currenty UMNO leaders want to cling to the 1MDB ill-gotten gains.
It has been reported that RM470 million from Najib’s personal banking accounts and which were traceable to 1MDB, had been diverted to Barisan Nasional parties for the 13th general election, including the following:
UMNO – RM 417,414,000
MCA – RM 16,500,000
MIC – RM 20,550,000
BN – RM 3,550,000
SUPP – RM 3,500,000
LDP – RM 3,500,000
UPKO – RM 2,000,000
PBRS – RM 1,000,000
PPP – RM 700,000
Gerakan – RM300,000
These are serious misappropriation of public funds to the Barisan Nasional parties in 2013 as they belonged to 1MDB.
Are UMNO and all present and former BN parties (including UMNO, MCA and MIC) prepared to atone and redeem themselves about their 1MDB past and return the RM470 million to public coffers as they had been misappropriated from 1MDB?
Not only has UMNO leaders lost the moral compass to repudiate Najib and 1MDB scandal as national catastrophes, but they have accepted Najib as the present de facto leader of UMNO – as witnessed by his prominent attendance of Saturday’s Anti-ICERD rally, which turned the rally into an endorsement of Najib and 1MDB scandal!
