List of UMNO/BN slander will be as thick as Encyclopaedia Brittanica and challenge to a Najib-Kit Siang public encounter where each could cite 5 – 10 lies, fake news and false information over the past five years the other must be held personally responsible

The Prime Minister and UMNO President Datuk Seri Najib said that today that if he were to list down the slander from the opposition since the last general election, it would be as thick as the Kamus Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka.

In a blog posting this morning, the BN chairperson noted how he and his family often fall victim to the opposition's slander.

I have the greatest sympathy for Najib when he and his family fell victim to slander, but how could he be certain that Opposition leaders were responsible for them?

I myself have fallen victim to slander but can I hold him personally responsible?

My response to Najib blog is that if I am to list down the slander from UMNO/Barisan Nasional quarters since the last general election, it would be as thick as Encyclopaedia Brittanica, putting the Kamus Dewan to shame.

For general information, the last printed edition of Encyclopaedia Brittanica is a 32-volume running into 32,640 pages.

But let us focus on slander which political leaders can be held to be responsible personally and directly – and I challenge the Prime Minister and UMNO/BN President to a Najib-Kit Siang public encounter where each of us can cite five to ten lies, fake news and false information in the past five years which the other must be held responsible.

If Najib’s conscience is clean and he is prepared for such a one-to-one public encounter, let him say so, and we can move to the next stage of appointing representatives who will finalise the details with regard to the place, date and time as well as the conditions of such a public encounter – live telecast, audience participation, etc.

Najib had said that opposition leaders who spread such slander do not know the meaning of respect of their responsibilities as an elected leader of the people.

I agree. Let Najib respond to my challenge to a one-to-one public encounter to let the Malaysian public know whether we have a Prime Minister who does not know the meaning of respect or responsibility as Prime Minister of Malaysia!
