Salleh should stop making asinine statements like I have said its a waste to vote for the Opposition

The Minister for Communications and Multimedia Datuk Salleh Said Keruak should stop making asinine statements like I have said its a waste to vote for the Opposition in the Sarawak state general elections.

Salleh was trying to be "little clever" when he twisted my admission that Adenan Satem will be the Sarawak Chief Minister and that the Sarawak Barisan Nasional will win the 11th Sarawak state general election into saying that in the circumstances its a waste to vote for the Opposition.

In fact it is an argument for voters to vote for the Opposition to ensure that there will be effective check and balance to ensure that Adenan will fulfill his election promises and not commit abuses and excesses of power.

For the past 50 years that I have been in Malaysian politics, while I started and continued my role in Parliament, at times as virtually a tiny Opposition, i had continued to call on voters to support the Opposition until it could grow into a powerful force capable of providing an alternative to the Government-of-the-day.

If i had said what Salleh claimed I had said, i would be repudiating my life work for 50 years.

I would advise Salleh to be a more intelligent Minister.

He had.been making quite a few asinine statements lately especially in his series of attacks against Tun Mahathir bur he does not seem to have realised that he has only succeeded in making a fool of himself.
