Country grieves
with bereaved families of seven casualties in the crash of the Bell 206 Long
Ranger helicopter in Sarawak Media Statement by Lim Kit Siang (Petaling Jaya, Friday): DAP sends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the seven casualties in the crash of the Bell 206 Long Ranger helicopter on July 12 at the foot of Mount Murud, Sarawak. The country grieves with them that miracles that all Malaysians, regardless race, religion or territory, had been hoping for in the past two weeks that there would be survivors among the seven on board the helicopter, had not materialized when it was confirmed that there had been no survivors.

Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister's Office Dr Judson Sakai Tagal,
Padawan Municipal Council Chairman Lawrence Th'ng, Sarawak Electricity
Supply Corporation (Sesco) chief executive officer Roger Wong, contractor
